The 12-week parent coaching program

This signature 12 week program is designed to support parents to feel confident, capable, and connected as they support their child’s development through everyday interactions.

Rather than focusing on doing therapy to your child, this program focuses on coaching you, so the learning continues naturally throughout your day, not just during sessions.

What parents will learn and achieve

• Step into your child’s spotlight

Learn how to identify what truly motivates and engages your child, and how to use this to support learning and connection.

• Find the smile

Recognise moments of joy, readiness, and connection, and learn how to build learning opportunities from these moments.

• It takes two to tango

Learn how to build joint interaction routines and back and forth interactions with your child, turning everyday moments into shared, meaningful exchanges.

• Talking bodies

Understand the importance of non verbal communication, including posture, facial expressions, gestures, and body orientation, and how these support communication and learning.

• Do what I do strategies

Learn how children learn through imitation and how to use this powerful tool to support new skill development.

• The science behind learning

Gain clarity and confidence by understanding how skills develop and why certain strategies work, moving away from guesswork.

• Joint attention triangle

Learn how to support your child to share attention, interests, and experiences with others.

• Playtime

Increase learning opportunities through everyday toy play and interactions, making play meaningful rather than pressured.

• Let’s pretend

Support spontaneous, creative, and flexible play, helping children move beyond repetitive play patterns.

• Speech and communication

Learn how to support your child’s understanding and use of communication through active social interactions, facial expressions, shared attention, and engagement with people.

• Bringing it all together

Feel confident using the strategies naturally and comfortably in daily life.

What sessions look like

Each session runs for one hour and is designed to feel supportive, collaborative, and practical.

• 10 minutes checking in on the previous week, celebrating wins, and gently troubleshooting anything that felt tricky

• 10 to 15 minutes of parent child play to observe what is working well and where support is needed

• 10 minutes of collaboration, reflecting on the play together and unpacking the current strategy in a clear and supportive way

• 10 to 15 minutes of coached play, practising the new strategy in real time with guidance

• 10 minutes wrapping up with feedback, simple home practice ideas, and an introduction to the next week’s strategy

Parents are supported every step of the way and will never be left feeling lost, judged, or put on the spot.

One-on-one early intervention sessions

For families seeking more direct support, one on one early intervention sessions provide personalised, child focused support tailored to your child’s individual strengths, needs, and developmental goals.

Sessions are play based and relationship focused, drawing on Early Start Denver Model principles to support communication, social interaction, play, and learning within everyday routines. Support is always grounded in connection, engagement, and what is meaningful for your child.

Sessions can take place in the family home or within a school setting, depending on what best supports the child and family.

Parents are always included and supported throughout sessions so strategies can be understood, modelled, and carried over naturally into daily life.

Why choose ESDM Superheroes?

Our program stands apart by empowering you, the parent, rather than simply working with your child. We coach you live, in real-time, with your own child, within your everyday environment, ensuring strategies are learned, practised, and understood where they matter most.

This coaching is deeply personalised, built around each child’s unique spotlight, motivations, and strengths, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Parents are supported to understand *why* strategies work, not just *what* to do, so they feel confident and capable long after the program ends.

Grounded in the Early Start Denver Model and the science of how children learn, our program is delivered in a warm, practical, and human way, without jargon or pressure. Sessions are collaborative, strengths-based, and supportive, ensuring you never feel lost or overwhelmed. Most importantly, this program helps parents reconnect with their child through joy, play, and meaningful interaction, turning everyday moments into powerful learning opportunities.
